The ViewStation
MP is a video communications system for high quality videoconferencing.
Offering both ISDN based H.320 calling, and IP based H.323
calls the ViewStation MP will communicate seamlessly with
all standards based videoconferencing equipment.
Using the systems
Inverse Multiplexer (IMUX), the ViewStation can make calls
of between 56 and 512Kbps across the ISDN network. This
is complimented with the ability to use the Viewstation
on IP networks (e.g. coporate LAN, WAN, Intranet, Extranet
and the Internet) to make calls of between 64 and 768Kbps.
Making calls of between 56and 336Kbps would give a performance
up to 15 frames per second, and at between 384 and 768Kbps
(IP) the system can operate at up to 30 frames per second.
The Viewstation
MP can also be used as an H.320 Multipoint Control Unit
(MCU) for up to four sites (local plus three) running at
128Kbps per site, or three sites running at 256Kbps. This
allows for multiple site meetings without the need to install
a dedicated MCU (e.g. RADVision
or CUseeMe Conference
Server)
